When can I eat normally after getting a white filling?

It can take as little as 20-30 minutes to have a composite filling placed. In most situations you will be able to eat normally straight after the appointment, although we do recommend going gently on your recently filled tooth as it can take a few days to get used to the filling. Avoiding hard foods and chewy foods is highly recommended straight after your appointment.
