What is gingivitis?

Gingivitis is caused by poor oral hygiene. It is a mild form of gum disease that if left untreated can lead to outcomes such as tooth loss and other serious conditions.

Symptoms include gums that are swollen, puffy and red, receding, sometimes tender or that bleed easily when brushed.
